Education For Employment (EFE) is the leading nonprofit that trains youth and links them to jobs across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This pivotal region is the hardest place on the planet for youth to get their first job – they are three times more likely to be unemployed than older adults.
EFE-Saudi Arabia’s Entrepreneurship Program, developed with Iowa University and drawing from EFE-Global’s newly-developed entrepreneurship curriculum, prepares youth for self-employment and teaches them the skills needed to start a business, as well as links participants with financing, mentoring, and other services. Like all EFE-Saudi programs, the Entrepreneurship Program is aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and all content is contextualized for the Saudi market.
EFE-Saudi Arabia’s Excellence in the Workplace Program trains young Saudis for high-quality work and offers employment opportunities with employer partners in various sectors including ICT, retail, hospitality, and healthcare. This program trains participants in sector-specific technical skills, as well as in-demand soft skills through EFE’s Workplace Success program.
EFE-Saudi Arabia’s Pathways Program trains university students to prepare them for the job market. This program teaches participants how to efficiently organize their job search, write a compelling CV that highlights their assets and is aligned with their professional aspirations, prepare for job interviews, and develop a professional network.

EFE-Saudi Arabia supports its graduates by offering an array of alumni support activities and programs as the fourth pillar of EFE programming. These activities include meetings, follow-up activities and programming, ongoing skills development, and mentorship. EFE-Saudi Arabia’s Mentorship Program supports recent EFE graduates by connecting them with mentors sourced from corporate partners, local employer partners, and EFE alumni.
